Missing masks? Ways to complain, productively

Post by mjkuhns »

If you're worked up about mask requirements and noncompliance you've seen, somewhere, you could call it in, to 216-698-5050.

Or if speaking on the phone isn't for you, you could report it to http://cuyahogacounty.us/maskexperience. (Where you could also report other COVID-19 safety deficiencies.)

Or you could decide to do neither one. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Who would we be calling and what would be the result?

According to Cuyahoga County:
  • "When we receive information about mask compliance issues from the community, we intend to contact the business owner, or the relevant individual to let them know that information has been received. We also intend to inform the local city, village or township as well. We hope that informing the business owner or relevant party will correct any compliance issues that exist."
  • "If repeated complaints are received or serious non-compliance is raised, under the State Order the County Sheriff would have the authority to investigate and potentially take further action. Local law enforcement also has the authority to act."
The county is also posting reports online, which makes for interesting browsing: https://cuyahogacounty.us/masks

Seems like "business hours" enforcement.
