Dan O'Malley expresses his reservations about this proposal on his own Facebook page. To grossly over simplify, he says it is redundant, and in some ways weaker than the existing laws. It also lacks an enforcement provision.
I commented, as I have here, that Council's time is better spent coming up with an effective enforcement plan. This reads like a waste of time when we don't have time to waste.
Has the Riverwood Cafe been cited for last weekend?
Also the proposed ordinance states that Covid-19 is a respiratory disease when the most recent research has found it to be a vascular disease that enters the body through the respiratory system.
