Lakewood City Schools Extended Closure Plan

Monday, March 16
Regularly Scheduled School Day

Tuesday, March 17
Teacher Work Day – No Students
Our teachers will update their records and prepare for the extended school closing while our custodial team will continue to aggressively deep clean our schools, classrooms, bathrooms, cafeterias, etc.
For students in grades 4 and 5 who do not have a device at home, parents will be able to pick up a district provided Chromebook at their child's home school from 8:00 am to 3:00 pm on March 17th for use during the extended closure. If parents are unable to pick up a device at this time, please contact the Technology Department at 216-529-4088 to arrange a time to pick up a device.

March 18 - March 20
Teachers/principals will communicate with students/families regarding remote learning.
Meal distribution begins for students in the free and reduced lunch program from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm at Lakewood High School. Both breakfast and lunch meals will be distributed during this time.

March 23-27 - Spring Break
No instruction or meal distribution will take place during the regularly scheduled Spring Break.

March 30-April 3
Remote instruction to begin.
Meal distribution resumes for students in the free and reduced lunch program from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm at Lakewood High School. Both breakfast and lunch meals will be distributed during this time.

Should the school closure period be extended, this plan will be updated and shared accordingly.
