Earth Day -- 50th Anniversary

The first Earth day was celebrated in 1970.

The 50th Anniversary of Earth Day will be in April this year.

The next 50 years of environmental activism will be completely different.

Here is a link to a New York Times story reminding us what we now face.

The future of Earth Day, earth and many other important issues (yes Jim, Lakewood is on earth :D ) will be decided in November, following our primary in March.

Books on Green New Deal and Global Warming

https://www.amazon.com/s?k=Green+New+De ... nb_sb_noss

Two titles that I can recommend:

"Falter" by Bill McKibben

and

"The Uninhabitable Earth" by David Wallace-Wells

McKibben is always readable and he has several books on these topics.

A Reminder To City Council

Once the city finishes building the former mayor's vanity project --"One Fitzgerald Place" -- you will understand that there will be no funds available for green projects or much of anything else.
