What's happening to Wagar Park?

Post by Betsy Voinovich »

I was just looking around on the One Lakewood site and there is a new story out today letting people know that they can bid on the playground equipment from Wagar Park.
I thought maybe they were talking about old equipment but there were photos and I believe that is the equipment the kids are playing on right now.

Does anybody know what's going on with Wagar Park? This is the first park where my toddlers played and it is heavily used by everyone. I hope it's staying a park. Are they
getting new equipment?

I must ask my councilperson, but if anyone else knows, please post! Thank you.

Lengthy public process. Multiple meetings at city hall and at the park itself. They were well attended. My kids played there as well and I no longer live on that side of town but I went to the meetings.

Hi Vince---

Thank you for answering me. (Sorry about the tardiness of this reply, the holidays overtook our household and I never got back to this.) These drawings look great. I would like to have attended these planning sessions but never heard about them, even though I live only a couple streets over. How were you informed about this? Thank you.
