No surprise there.

PD always backs the establishment candidates.

They back Frank Jackson every election.

They backed Armond Budish who is now embroiled in a corruption investigation.

Gee, what a shock!!

As Bridget mentioned, the PD is an enthusiastic supporter of the corrupt Cuyahoga Democratic Machine. They love Budish, Jackson, and Company.
Team Summers is part of that Machine.

With things going so well in the NEO, why should the PD/Clevelandcom/Advance/Whatever call for change?? :-)

The question is - do you want to continue with the leadership we have now, or look for change?

Cuyahoga County is not doing well, not has it been for quite some time. Corruption and pay to play has been the standard for far too long.

When you complain about corruption, but keep electing the same people again and again, why would you expect improvement?

A vote for O’Leary is a vote for the old, the corrupt, the “good old boys” network.

He tries to pretend he’s a “progressive,” but he’s not. He threw his hat into the ring with the Dem Machine and he’s beholden to them.

Just look at his donor and endorsement list.

The PD is increasingly irrelevant and impotent.

Is that text thing still going?

Summers' minions have been all over social media trumpeting Lil' Sammy's PD endorsement.
They seem to think this will turn around his sinking campaign....good luck with that.

No kidding.

No one reads the PD.

No one respects the PD.

I though about replying to them, but why get down in the mud with toadies and trolls?

Just put down this morning’s PD. A mere skeleton of what it once was. Endorsements notwithstanding, the “Lame*” Dealer has not been a high-quality news source for some time. It shed valuable full-time reporters, articles have less depth, often lack important detail, and are more fill than fact.
Cleveland’s only daily paper usually has fewer stories, less timely news, and borrows content from other sources. These sources are not always bona fide news media. Even the editorial page cartoons have gone downhill. It must be frustrating for those few news professionals that are still there.
The demise and destruction of Lakewood Hospital was the greatest issue and news story in Lakewood’s history. A newspaper that has screamed public records in the past was quiet. Perhaps they were afraid to discuss the largest, most powerful entity in northeast Ohio. They missed the boat and still don’t seem to get it, don’t want to, or don’t care.
Be it a candidate or an issue, a PD endorsement is not what it once was, whether it’s received or not.

Laughable you say.

In 1978, not one Democrat ever believed that Ronald Reagan could actually be elected President.

In 2014, not one Republican ever believed that Donald Trump could ever be elected President.

South Bend, Indiana has a population a bit over 100,000 and its mayor is running for President in 2020 and doing quite well I might add.
