We are not here to curse the darkness, but to light the candle that can
guide us thru that darkness to a safe and sane future. John F. Kennedy

It is both funny and sad that the final bricks fall on Lakewood's largest asset, the Lakewood Hospital, just as we roll into another election season. It is a perfect time to remember that the current administration, the Council President, and some members of council actively fought to keep the truth from the voters through 3 other elections, including elections for their current seats in office, and kept facts and data from the public that would have shown the community was being lied to.

If there is one thing all voters should agree on is that public officials should not lie, misrepresent and cover up their actions, legal or not. That should a city decide to fight with residents over their right to see documents and/or examine their actions as public officials, that once the courts decide these are public documents they are made available immediately to those asking. What has happened over the last two-and-a-half regimes should not be tolerated ever again.

Thank you to everyone that has supported us for the last 15 years and the last 4. It means more to all Observers than you realize.

peace/love
