Privacy rules require that they share that policy with the public. They should also disclose who is the creator of the survey.

Anyone who is interested can send an email to information@publicpolicypolling.com and ask.

Maybe they need to get some email about this?

And you can email support@surveymonkey.com and ask for that information, as well.

Hmmm. Never heard of a legitimate political poll sent out then shut down within less than 18 hours.
The plot thickens.... someone is obviously feeling the heat.
Everyone knows the Hospital is not coming back. At this point all we can hope for is a full accounting of the disposition of City assets. Where did the assets go? Who got those assets?

The survey reveals the basic outline of the O'Leary game plan:

Support to release public records involving the disposition of the Hospitals assets will be attacked as an attempt to "save Lakewood Hospital".
Support to release public records will be attacked as opposition to "economic development".
Support for open, honest government will be attacked as political opportunism.
Megan George will be cast as the political opportunist who is controlled by outside interests.

To me the survey questions reveal the greatest fear of O'Leary and company: The truth will get out.

BINGO!

As always, astute analysis!

I believe this was an awful campaign misstep, for O’Leary.

He’s relying on old school Dem machine politics and people are tired of that.

I believe once O’Leary realizes the mistake he’s made hitching himself to losers, it will be too late.

Panic is starting to set in.

All of their "plans" are getting uncovered and blown up.

Lakewood is sick of the bullshit.

Some enterprising folks on a FB group posted the entire BS survey. That's probably why it got pulled down. Now Jim is a bit touchy about copying stuff from FB but always bends to the will of the Deck community, so who wants to see it on the record here?

OK. And I believe in the absence of copyright information providing as much credit as I can determine.

This was posted by Minnie Ann on The Real Lakewood Community Facebook page. In a comment, Kate McCarthy said she emailed the company, Public Policy Polling, and was told the survey linked to on Facebok was legit.

Again, Bill Call got it right.

Pretend O’Leary had nothing to do with the hospital debacle and focus on “development!”

Link George to SLH. We know how they demonized them and they’ll do it again.

BTW Mayor Summers, how many signed tenants or letters of intent do y’all have for OneLakewwod?

That looming recession is going to impact that development.

Guess those great business minds didn’t think about that.

How did Sam get more experience? He is much younger.

What does Tom George, who has passed on have anything to do with Meghan George now?

While they ask some really screwy questions, why do they not ask the 800lb gorilla one.

Do the residents of Lakewood have a right to know the truth?

Should the residents be lied to?

Should you file false affidavits with the courts?

Meghan George has shown herself to be a class act with her eloquent response to the deceptive poll circulated to residents.

Like Trump, the current administration resorts to divisiveness and outright lies to achieve their goals.

Ms George, on the other hand, has chosen to “go high” while they “go low.”

From the Meghan F George for Mayor of Lakewood Facebook page:
Many of my fellow residents received a dubious push poll from PPP (Public Policy Polling). It seems apparent, this poll was commissioned or paid for by a candidate running for office in Lakewood. That candidate was not me.

Like many of you, I was deeply offended by the divisive, deceptive, and manipulative nature of the questions asked of you, my neighbors. The one thing I know about our community is that it is time for leadership that seeks to unite Lakewood. We can’t accomplish this if a candidate is using immature, divisive campaign tricks intended to degrade their opponent. Sadly, that is exactly what this push poll hoped to accomplish.

The poll was so distasteful that those that paid for it didn’t even want their name associated with it. Ultimately, that should tell you everything you need to know.

Having lived in Lakewood for almost 38 years, I can promise that a Meghan George administration will seek to move past pettiness and negative politics. I have too much respect for you. You deserve better. We will genuinely focus on restoring civility to our public discourse.

There is only one poll that matters, and that is the result of your opinion on Election Day. You can trust that every day I’m striving to earn your vote by working to unite the community so that we can grow Lakewood together.

Survey Monkey was contacted by a reporter and they told the reporter that the client was “confidential.”

That’s a hoot!

So someone from “a confidential” campaign is texting and calling residents, and has access to your information, and if you respond they have your IP address, but THEY can remain “confidential.”

I suspect we will know shortly who paid for that piece of campaign propaganda.
