Lakewood Progressive? Here Is What Columbus Did This Week

Columbus City Council votes unanimously to reduce penalties for marijuana possession

The Columbus City Council on Monday unanimously approved marijuana-reform legislation that would make the fine for being caught in the city with up to 200 grams — about 7 ounces — less than the cost of a parking meter ticket.

Now comes news Cleveland is going to follow Columbus' lead and reduce and drop minor marijuana offenses.

LAKEWOOD, Cleveland see the battleground with Columbus, but our Progressives are blind for anything but giving away the city to developers, and raising costs of living here.

Where is the vision, where are the thinkers. Ohh that's right thinking is frowned on in Lakewood.

Another boat missed.

what if the arrest is made by the Ohio State Highway Patrol within Columbus city limits?

There are relatively few arrests made in Lakewood.

I haven't touched the stuff for more years than I care to mention. Really. Literally.

But why stop at lowering penalties? Just legalise it and reap the benefit of the revenues. I think a lot of people would prefer that to the new gas tax.

It would seem that that is what progressive states are doing, to the benefit of all of its residents. And they are reaping the rewards. As a majority of studies, alcohol is the gateway drug not marijuana. Also the hundreds of benefits from, clothing to fuel, to pain relief, to $$$$ for government to fix things. An elected official just stated to me the other day, "2/3rds of American would like to see it legalized." That indicates to me at least one elected official understands the competition we are in.
