City Wants to Know How “WELL” You Are

Post by Bridget Conant »

Check out this survey they City has on its website under the section “Resiliency.”

It’s a short Survey Monkey survey. You gotta read it. It’s right out of Pollyanna-land. It’s so vague and meaningless it could be used to justify any outcome they have in mind, and you know they already have one.

https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/2CCMG2V

Here’s a sample:

“What does well-being mean to you?”

“ What are the most pressing challenges you face? How does living in Lakewood make it easier or harder to address these challenges?”

“If you had 3 wishes for Lakewood, what would they be?”

You’ve got to be kidding me! Did they pay someone to come up with these questions?

These are not appropriate questions for an online, short questionnaire. They are vague and open ended - I’m thinking precisely so they can say “well, Lakewoodites love living here but they’d like to see...”. FILL IN THE CITY PREDETERMINED BLANKS!

What an absolute joke.

This all came out of the "Most Stressful City" poll I posted 5 months ago. Immediately the spinners went to work, while the Lakewood City Hall Theater team set the stage for another charade, to make sure we know, the worst administration in Lakewood's long history is really the best!

Mayor Summers and crew are pitiful.

 x infinity plus 1

Why do they want to know what street you live on?
Also, why is age the FIRST question?

They’ll know your street, age, how long you’ve lived here, and any disabilities or issues you may have.

How long it would take to find out who you are?

I’m sure anyone halfway adept at using the internet could discover your identity.

According to SurveyMonkey, the creator of the survey can get your information and IP address.

The city doesn’t disclose that information to survey takers.

And if you remember correctly, we made a public record request for the data, and were told that because it was not on City property, is was not accessible to a public record request, much like the database they use for City business and the Mayor had used for political mailings, as did a couple councilmen he supported. Well we now know they were wrong or out right lying about that. Courts have ruled it is all a public record.

Another charade to gather info on residents instead of being honest, transparent and working for the people.

There’s a very sincere woman on the “Resiliency” committee discussing this survey on the Lakewood OH Facebook page. When I questioned the vagueness of the “survey,” she responded that the city and the planning department want to generate a “WORD CLOUD” to use as they make plans.

Is this how the city does business - forget facts and data, just generate BS “word clouds” and pretend everything is just peachy? How cute.

Another Trumpian tactic. All words, no facts, no action.

Can’t wait for the election!
