Area police searched yesterday looking for the weapon.

Today the FBI offered $20,000 for information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the suspect(s) that commited the double homicide of Katherine Brown, age 33, and Carnell Sledge age 40.

The area in which the couple were gunned down was near the small parking lot just north of the Lorain Bridge. Brown's body was spotted by a people kayaking around 5:22 pm. It was lying on the river bank.

So even though they claim it’s an “isolated” incident and we needn’t worry, they need to offer a reward for information?

How then, are they so sure it was “isolated?”

Sure doesn’t give me any confidence in their pronouncement.

it is isolated in terms of homicides not occurring frequently there.
It is also possible the victims rarely or never had been there before.

This really shocked me, I had been led to believe that a warrant and search would be very soon.

But the background story changes daily too.

We shall see.

What we do know from the policre:
Two bodies that have been identified
Both were shot
Found 5:20 p.m. on June 4

What we don't know:
Who shot them
Where were they shot in the park or were the bodies dumped
Their time of death established by the medical examiner
Was one or two vehicle[s] belonging to the victims in the park and where

What am I missing, the police expect someone to come forward and fill in all the blanks when no information is released. Not only is it a futile request but it's borderline stupidity. I don't know who in the inept and insert metro park police department that is investigating this murder case but they need to turn it over to a competent police agency because this is way beyond their traffic tickets, fishing without a license, dumping trash and flocking in the woods business as usual.
