6 Years Ago - 3 Women Rescued From House On Seymour Ave.

Post by Jim O'Bryan »

One of the amazing things about the Lakewood Observer is the sheer number of people that fall into, or happen to be at a story as it happens. By accident or luck we have been at some of the biggest stories in the area like this...

Image
A spontaneous party erupts with the news that 3 women who had been missing for years were found alive in a house on Seymour Ave.

Image
The home where Aerial Castro (killed in prison) kept the three women, Michelle Knight; Amanda Berry; Georgina "Gina" DeJesus

Image
The front door that Amanda Berry crawled through to escape while Castro was at local McDonalds.

We even took you inside the McDonalds where he was caught at eating a quarter pounder.

The Lakewood Observer coverage of this event in real time...

We not only uncovered this stuff, but we also found the real hero of the story, an illegal Colombian, that faded into the shadows, while his neighbor took the credit.

I should be noted that Lakewood lawyer Jim Wooly has been extremely helpful in working with all three women helping them move on with their lives.
