Fire At Trinity Lutheran Church? Nope!

Post by Jim O'Bryan »

Suddenly fire engines passed by from Rocky River turning down Hall! If you drive by Trinity Lutheran Church or the corners of Hall and Detroit or Westlake and Detroit you might have thought there was a big fire at what was Trinity Lutheran Church. No smoke but lots of fire engines and firefighters.

Ahhhhh, fire training in progress.

In the life of many buildings, the end comes shortly after the firefighters and police use it for training. Knocking out door and window. Holes in the roof and the walls. Hostages taken and freed, and everything and anything first responders can use to hone their skills.

Just another reason why Lakewood Fire and Police, and for that matter many of the first responders in the Westshore area, are so good at what they do.

Thanks for taking the time and effort, nothing to see, move along.

As one historic building after another falls to condos, Lakewood Fire shares with others the chance to use them for testing and learning.

The activity IS a clear sign that the church is ready for demolition. Any word on what will replace it? A fast food restaurant would fit in nicely with Mayor Summers vision for the future of Lakewood.

1,500 high paying medical jobs are so yesterday.
