I actually like modern architecture, but most of what they are trying to pass here as “modern” is really just cheap and unimaginative mass market “modern.”
For example, those townhomes at McKinley place on W Clifton. They are quite expensive (350-400k) but they are so packed into that small space that the view from most of them is either a driveway or another unit.
If I’m paying that much for a place, I’d expect a bit more privacy and a much better view.
The sad thing is that I’ve been to lots of other cities and see identical developments - they all look the same. Boring!
