Cleve Clinic Opening Another Outdated Hospital!

Despite assurances to Lakewoodites that hospitals are NOT the “future of healthcare,” the Cleveland Clinic apparently doesn’t agree with its own rhetoric and, as predicted, The Cleveland Clinic plans to build a new hospital in Mentor, “expanding its presence in Lake County and adding another actor to a crowded healthcare scene there.

The Clinic slated the hospital for property it already owns on Ohio 615, just north of I-90, at 8020 Center St., situated among two other existing hospitals within a few miles radius.”

What a shame that Mentorites won’t get the latest thing in healthcare, and won’t have an opportunity to rival Lakewood as one of the “healthiest cities in America!”

They must be SO jealous of Lakewood!

In fact, that hospital will provide them with additional hospital beds, in an area crowded with hospital beds!

I believe it already has happened. I could be wrong but I thought Euclid Observer carried a story about Euclid being phased out. Of course right next to it is a massive ever growing UH Full service hospital.

Jim, I knew the Euclid Hospital rehabilitation center was moved to Beachwood as well as some skilled.nursing beds. This was before started in 2016. I was unaware that a full closure was already made public. Of course, it has been surmised that Euclid would be in trouble ever since CCF purchased land in Mentor, right off the highway and had it zoned for Hospital/medical 5+ years ago.

Euclid has a mix of economic classes that I believe is similar to Lakewood's. I don't think they fit the "string of pearls " CCF envisions for their future. Shame on CCF if they close Euclid Hospital.

You been scammed by the Cleveland Clinic enjoined with a Democrat Lakewood mayor and select Lakewood council members. These are the few that knew the remaining council members would follow like the good sheepe they were. It's over, yea citizens of Lakewood, elect more from the same mold and you shall be blessed again.
