We present the Top 30 Holiday Decorations as judged by the people and professional judges. These Top 30, well actually 32, because of ties, are all eligible for prizes ranging in value between $60.00 - $15.00! The prizes are awarded by our advertisers and sponsors like Woodstock BBQ, Melt, India Garden, WestEnd Tavern, Lakewood Hardware and Lion and Blue. We thank them, and everyone who took part from home decorators to sponsors, to judges, to the residents of Lakewood who suggested each and every home on the list! THANK YOU!
The holiday decorating contests are held for a few reasons. Number One: to get everyone out and looking at homes in their neighborhoods and around town. People ask for addresses, as we do not list them, but we prefer that you go out and try to find those homes, and discover some wonderfully decorated homes on your own and suggest them. Number Two, to thank everyone for trying to make their home, street and neighborhood a little more festive, while putting their own personal touch on the design and decorations. Number Three, our advertisers love the contests and keep giving us prizes to distribute. This will play out even larger in the coming years! In 2018 we gave out over $2,000 in prizes, gifts, gift certificates, and dining experiences. We hope to double that in 2019!
