Lakewood - Do You See It?

Post by Jim O'Bryan »

Take a look. One more time, see them try to run one more game of three-card-monte on you because they think you are stupid. And you could see it before. As pointed out in 2014, they think we are rubes.

This time think about it. It is not real complicated.

What Essi, Markling and their crew have been fighting for from day one. A person's right to know what their elected officials are doing. With the inability to watch them constantly. People in America are promised and need full transparency from Government for Democracy to work. With the exception of national security, HIPAA, and some closed bidding situations, everything else is a PUBLIC RECORD. Every document, post, email, memo, text, notes, filings whatever having to do with the government, made on government equipment are public records. Anyone at any time can check on their government. The people's right to know has been ruled on thousands of times, 99% of the time ruled in the "Public's Right To Know" favor. Even documents sealed, are sealed with timelines that allowed them to see the light of day at the end of the project, after 3 years, or 50 years like the Kennedy Assassination and Watergate.

This is simply what they are fighting for. Everyone of us having the right to ask questions based on REAL FACTS.

Look at what is going on around us, look where we are at everyday just because of breakdowns in the ability to get to documents, and see real facts. Look where it got us in the past. Every time government has gone dark, it marks every time government is about to do something terribly wrong.

A brief recap

It was said, "The Hospital is closing" City Hall answered, "The Hospital is not closing"
The documents through this lawsuit found out that the City had been working secretly to close Lakewood Hospital and move the funds into private institutions as far back as 2010.

It was said, "They want to build a Rec Center there." City Hall, "That is a lie and not true."
The lawsuit produced documents from 2010 that had drawings of a Rec Center on the site.

It was said that "This was a great opportunity for Lakewood with over $120 million in new developments coming in." With documents from the lawsuit we found out, that no outside money worth talking about was ever coming in. Everything in the deal originated from Lakewood Hospital, LHA, LHF. The development was being mostly underwritten us.

Lakewood Hospital is closed, just how disastrous this deal was has been laid out time and time and time again. With documents produced from the lawsuit. Yet the City continues to hide thousands of pages, fight in court, and now once again lose being forced to pay for the lawyers that were all fighting for just one thing. Our rights to check the documents on City Hall work. Nothing more.

So when you see people trashing Essi and his lawyers and his frivolous lawsuit ask them what is in it for them. This entire lawsuit was a person who has the right to know, asking questions he is encouraged by law to ask for all of us, and any question we may need to ask down the road.

So Lakewood, do you see it? Those connected with the scheme (british term) all come out and attack Essi, his lawyers, people that post about it, anything and everything they can go after to shut it down, the conversations that come out of facts. They do it to argue cause the lawsuit was about you right to be knowledgeable.

When Mr. O'Bryan describes this city administration as "breaking" our city, he speaks the plain truth.

I would never have believed this, if I hadn't witnessed it myself.

All

Let's try this again... Watch carefully, you will see how it is done, and why they do it.

Every time, you lose the money, they get more money. Every time. While you just confused.

Right now, City Hall is out crowing they won, I have 2 simple questions.
1) How is paying the other person;s legal fees winning?
2) Let's say they did, which they didn't. All they would have won, is the ability to keep public documents from residents.
Residents should cheer about that? Why?

"Well the City keeps to keep some of the information redacted!"
So City Hall is bragging about not being forth coming with residents, no matter what the courts order? Residents like that why?

Actually the only redactions they get to keep are real correspondence between lawyers and clients. ANYTHING ELSE that has a third party in it does not fall under Attorney Client Privilege.

So to once again underline my point.

All Essi and others were in court for was the residents right to know FACTS.

What City Hall and sycophants have done from December 29, 2014. It try to distract, lie, spin, mislead and take the city into a game of 3-Card-Monte that made all of us losers and rubes the minute we stopped to listen to them.

Be smart, think, one side fights for the truth and documents so that you can decide for yourself what is right, the other side does not and spends hundreds of thousands of dollars to keep them hidden. Time we all ask, "What is City Hall Hiding?"

As predicted here, and talked about for the past 4 years.

Lakewood City Hall's answer to the court rulings.

Lie, intimidate, cover-up, silence from people that know better, and a general complicity in maintaining the cover-up.

These people are so predictable.

The LO gets one ruling slightly wrong, but factually correct, and we pulled the papers, reprinted with a clarification.

City Hall, just keeps the lies going.
