City To Purchase Trinity Lutheran To Make Way For...

Post by Bill Call »

A Wendy's restaurant.

The purchase price is about $675,000. The City would assume cost for demolition, asbestos abatement and site preparation which would cost an additional $200,000. Brings the price per acre to about $1,250,000.

Is this related to the rumor back in Feb 2018 or is it a new rumor?

Makes Lakewood Hospital for a $1.00 look like a hell of deal.

They all but bankrupted Robert Dobrush to get Hillard Theater.

Hmmmmmm

Wendy's targets the middle class...it is too expensive for the poor (who use McD's), but not high-end enough to target the "Summers Demographic". Lakewood, which is experiencing a shrinking working and middle class, is a poor fit for them.

It would only make sense if the new "Trinity Wendy's" is designed to replace the panhandler-infested W. 117th location.

This area already has enough Wendy's locations...there is W. 117th, Rocky River, and the one at W. 140th and Lorain. The Lorain and Rocky River locations have been totally rebuilt within the past few months. I'm pretty sure the W. 117 location was redone in recent years...but perhaps my memory is faulty.
Does Trinity Wendy's make financial sense for the Lakewood demographic if the City provides the lot? #AnotherFreebie #RecallSummers
