And don't forget to support all of the businesses and organizations that support the Lakewood Observer, and all of our volunteers, and pick up a hard copy at 100+ locations in and around town!

I would like to once again thank an amazing staff of people and volunteers that allow this amazing history making project to continue. With the advertisers, the writers, the photographers, editors, delivery crews and everyone who understands that the Lakewood Observer is and has been Lakewood's communal act of love and respect for over 14 years and counting! While others are haters and pretenders, the Observer just keeps on cranking out positive stories, serious discussion and room for all who can be trusted with a seat at the adult table. No matter what your view, we have a seat for you, leave your hate at the door.

This week we have another "Heroes" story which first appeared here on the LO Deck by Joe Ott. "The Celeste Purple Martin House," which is the amazing story of Lakewoodites stepping up, working together and getting it down. Something all Observers can appreciate. We will be dropping off a gift certificate for dinner to Lakewood sculptor Stephen Yusko, Jim O'Reilly, Joe Ott and Jim Mossbruger at Miracle Auto Body from Woodstock BBQ on Madison Ave. along with Lakewood Observer Glow in the Dark t-Shirts for all!

The Lakewood Observer loves people doing good work, and spreading good words about good people in Lakewood, and we are working all year to reward them for their efforts. Because of the real day to day heroes, all of our lives are improved in Lakewood every day.

Also would like to thank Lakewood City Council for letting the love of dogs move back into the city and finally their work to repeal BSL in Lakewood. It was a terrible brand destroyer, and allowed too many divisions and fights in the city, not to mention the tens of thousands wasted fighting with residents over stupid laws. Thank you to Greg Murray, Jennifer Scott, and our own Peter Grossetti, for underlining and fighting this law, some like Peter from the moment Tom Bullock pushed it through council.

Now let's work together to end other lawsuits that seem ridiculous and unneeded like the ones fighting public record requests. Let's work together and bring pressure on City Hall to stop wasting our time and money in petty fights over things that should have never been a problem in the first place. Lakewood, stop hiding the documents, release all the documents so that we can make 2018 the Summer of Love in Lakewood.

Thanks again to all, peace love.
