Attached are campaign reports from the Board of elections that show the following:
1. LHA/CCF put an additional $50K in and individuals and construction trade groups wrote fairly large checks to the "Destroy the Hospital" PAC in the 2016 Election.
Note that many of the donations came close to the end in November 2016, when the Insiders must have been panicking that things were too close for their comfort.
Mike Summers $1,500 (2 checks) LHA Trustee & "Hypocrat" Mayor
Tom Bullock $600 (3 checks) LHA Trustee and "Hypocrat" Councilman
Martin Sweeney
Jay Carson $350 (2 checks)
Cindy Marx $300 (2 checks)
Kevin Butler $400 (2 checks)
Sam O'Leary $100
John Litten $200 (2 checks)
Shawn Juris $400 (two checks) former "Hypocrat" Councilman
Ellen Brytzwa $200 LHA trustee
Four Gable Management $500--LHA trustee Tom Gable's real estate company
Tom Gable LHA trustee $200
Reverand Jon Francher $250 (3 checks) LHA Trustee-Rocky River preacher
Ken Haber $200
David Stein $100
Note the BIG $$$ that also came from multiple construction trades organizations---The long tentacles of CCF as big spender in construction?
Bullock, Summers and Deputy Treasurer Carson must have put out a cry for the "usual Insider suspects" to raise last minute $$$.
Recall that they won a narrow victory--52%-48%.
Could they have "won" without the immoral use of charitable money used to destroy the charity it came from?
Could they have "won" without the money from LHA trustees who had a fiduciary duty to protect the charity they were sworn to preserve?
I think not.
Personal Note: among the donors were 8 of the 12 folks who filed police reports against me because the felt "threatened" by the "blood on their hands" from the victims of their bad acts.

I would add...
...Could they have won without the outright lies to the voters? I doubt it.
...Could they have won without the destruction and cover up of documents repeatedly ruled public by the courts, that still have not seen the light of day. NO!

I will have some further comments in the future on this topic, but for now:
Here we see the Lakewood Hospital Association (by now only a Cleveland Clinic Foundation subsidiary organization) donating to ensure the complete liquidation of Lakewood Hospital under the Master Agreement against citizen efforts to save it.
Here we see the former Trustees of the Lakewood Hospital Association and some current board members of the Lakewood Hospital Foundation making donations to support that effort. Wild!
And, let's not forget that the Build Lakewood organization was also receiving contributions towards its efforts to keep the hospital closed.
Civic leaders in both Massillon and Dayton did just the opposite and fought and are fighting to maintain hospitals in their cities.
Did our civic leaders fight tooth and nail to demolish apartment blocks in the West End, only to fight to build new apartment blocks on the hospital site?
Mr. Essi, this isn't bad government. It's dismal--time-to-drain-the-swamp--government.

Re: Reports Show Insiders Likely "Panicked"--Gave Big $$$ in Push to Win Second Issue 64 Campaign
I have been involved in political campaigns for decades. Many times I try to be an average voter, waiting to see how I am approached and then try to analyze how I react to a particular campaign tactic. Sometimes you can see a direct correlation between money and resources and campaign product in the voter's purview.
However, in looking at the dollar amount of these donations, when the donations were made, and recalling the campaign itself - it is my opinion that the dollar amounts did not translate into any effective outcomes. More precisely, the late, big money was wasted.

I notice Linda Beebe on the list, as well as our fork-tongued pal Jim Kenny.
