Dead Body Found - Ruled Homicide - Updated - Police Seek Your Help

Post by Jim O'Bryan »

Re: Dead Body Found

On Monday January 29, 2018 at 10:50am the Lakewood Police Department was sent to home at 1680 Robinwood Ave to perform a welfare check. The complainant reported that he had not seen or been able to contact the resident Daniel J. Donlan, 70 yrs old, for several days. Officers entered the home and found Mr. Donlan deceased. Mr. Donlan’s body was taken to Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner’s office.

This case is being investigated as a suspicious death as we await the ruling from the Medical Examiner on the manner and cause of death.

The Medical Examiner has ruled the death a homicide. Blunt force trauma to the head.

Actually I think the term I heard used was "skull caved in."

I was figuring police were using information and keeping it hush-hush to look for the killer, but it sounded gruesome.
