LO's music critic, John "Buzz" Kompier and his band "Jim Davis" played at "Now That's Class" Sunday night, 01.28.2018. They were chosen as one of the opening acts to open for legendary rockers, X_____X (pronounced X blank X) with Lakewoodites John Morton, Craig Bell, and Andrew Klimek, also on drums was Baltimore resident Weasel. John Morton, LHS class of 69, has been given credit by the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as one of the founders of the genre of music known as "Punk." Craig Bell LHS class of 1970, who was in the proto punk bands "Mirrors," "Rocket from the Tombs" to name but a few and Andrew Klimek class of 76(?).
Longtime Lakewoodite, Beckett Warren was at the door and the bar to great everyone.

"Jim Davis" with Buzz on drums. They got a great crowd and review.

Weasel drummer for X_X waits to go on.

X____X hits the stage as as always a roar followed. Poetry, rock, punk, jazz and art are what they are all about.

Taking the stage at 11 and rocking it until well past one, it was a show not to miss.
