Lakewood Fire Department joined with Rocky River Fire Department and fire departments from as far away as Colombia Township and the Airport. The fire hydrants and hoses froze, so they had to bring in tanker trucks to supply water. Fire departments from 8 communities ended up being called in.

An 87-year-old woman was killed while another injured her leg.

Closing Lake Road in both directions during rush hour.

The fire started in one home around 6:30am, and spread to a home next door. The fire opened the roof on the one home and spread to another home.

No fire fighters were injured.

No cause as of yet, but be safe with heaters, space heaters and fires in the fireplace.

Good work Lakewood Fire Department.

Lakewood Fire Chief Gilman did a good job explaining the fire and the responses on TV.
