Proof Lyin' O'Leary Coordinated 2016 Water Bill Lies And...

Post by Brian Essi »

...."Everyone [on Council] was aware of and on board with putting" that communication in the water bill.

Recall that the water bill propaganda campaign was designed to take benefits away from little old ladies, children and working class Lakewood residents by fighting SLH's attempts to tell the truth about the NON COMPETE and the FAKE ER.

Lyin' O'Leary---unanimously vote by your Lakewood City Council as its cowardly backroom "leader."

It is time for change in Lakewood.

This document says it all!

From public documents that Mr. Essi has sued the city administration to produce, we know the following:

1. As early as February 2015, key LHA insiders had advised the city administration that the numbers they were using were "bogus".

2. In the city administration's typical "damn-the-public" style, here we seeing them using the bogus numbers almost a year later in the water-bill inserts.

This brings us full-circle and pretty much demonstrates the origins of my concerns with the city administration and the starting point of my first Deck series.

The city administration intentionally lied to both the citizens and those investors who hold our municipal bonds.

Keep in mind another time frame:

1. O'Leary wrote the above email Jan 6, 2016 two days after he was formally voted in as Council Prez--

2. My cords request for it was May 13, 2016 while the Issue 64 referendum he mentions in January was "heating up".

3. O'Leary and the City did not release this email until August 16, 2017----it took them 461 days to produce the email---9 months after they "won" on Issue 64 with the Lyin' O'Leary led "communications strategy."

Brian Essi wrote:Summers did it again. His water claims a bogus "$100M Investment in Lakewood". That's another lie.

The truth is a net of $70M in value was taken out of Lakewood.

The $34M to build CCF's transfer station was money taken from Lakewood too.

The conman keeps up with his reputation.
We now know that O'Leary worked in the closet of this.

What troubles me is that not one of these councilmembers questioned this, not even those previous newer members, Councilman O’Malley & Councilman Litten.

The document you shared is firm evidence of their unanimous representation of the corporation and not their constituents.

These leaders made a few very, very rich off the backs of the poor. It’s a tragic social injustice! With so many members of this community who like to help the poor, this issue should be of great importance. It’s relatively easy to pass out a few baskets of food or serve a meal here and there, but speaking out about this grave and deeply damaging hospital loss should be imperative.

I agree with Mr. Eadeh. The two incoming councilmembers should demand a third party investigation. It’s not enough to remove the previous leaders from office. There should be legal ramifications for withholding these public records and for the multitude of other wrongdoings.

...and, as always, thank you Mr. Essi, for your legal and financial expertise, your tireless efforts and your genuine concern for the greater good of all of us.

I have previously written on this topic at length. I will keep this short.

Each member of city council has an ethical and legal duty to evaluate the nature of their potential conflicts of interest before casting a vote.

The best practice is recusal (not voting at all) or abstention (voting "abstain") when confronted with a conflict of interest.

Some apparent and likely current conflicts:

1. Former LHA board members voting on matters relating to the former Lakewood Hospital or matters relating to the implementation of the Master Agreement.

2. Recipients of campaign contributions from LHA board members or CCF-related individuals.

3. And, potentially, recipients of campaign contributions or campaign assistance from individuals related to redevelopment proposals for the former hospital site.

A council member who is unclear on what constitutes a conflict of interest should consult with their personal legal counsel or counsel at the Ohio Ethics Commission.
