As we draw to the end of another seemingly long year filled with troubling revelations, and ongoing tough, serious and sometimes confrontational discussions, please take the time for being thankful for what we are and what we have, not just as individuals, but also as the larger group, and community.
I for one am thankful for everyone that has taken the time to sign up on one of the many Observer Projects around the county, and especially here in Lakewood. It is not always easy being an Observer, but together by sharing our observations, we have once again made it easier to make sense of and enjoy our community.
Take a moment, to remember those who are no longer with us, here at the Observer or on the physical earth.
A huge thank you to the entire staff, the editors, the writers, the photographers, the delivery crew, the advertisers, the lawyers, and the stores that all support this project in so many ways-- not for the money, but through the understanding that together, by giving, we help to define our community. Together we help to explain our community, market our community and hopefully make our community better. We also are now part of recording a 14+ year history of the community we all love, live and work in.
