From Gary Rice & Lakewood Observer To You This Thanksgiving! It's Amazing!
This morning Gary Rice, Lakewood's musician extraordinaire gave me a call with an idea for a video.
The "Thanksgiving Hymn" aka "We are gathered together" played for all of you, on the Turkey Baster!
After looking in various places to film this impromptu live concert, Gary Rosen of Roz's Wine House suggested the front porch, which just happens to be the best place to watch DowntowN Lakewood walk by. Especially during the holidays.
So we sat down and set up, and people moved out of the way, and Gary a true showman stepped up and preformed. IT WAS AMAZING!
So from all of us, with love, to all of you I give you, Gary Rice and his Turkey Baster!
To everyone have a great Thanksgiving, and holiday season. Be safe, check on those who are home alone, share with all, and take care of your pets and animals.
PEACE/LOVE

Nicely done video Jim! Thanks to Rozi's too, and thanks for those kind thoughts Stan.
Actually, playing a turkey baster is quite a lot like playing a trombone and a flute at the same time. You just fill it one third of the way with water (or your favorite holiday libation!) and squeeze the bulb as you blow across the tip, flute-like.
Start with playing a simple scale and soon you too, will be playing your favorite songs on the thing!
Happy Thanksgiving all!
Back to the baster...

Gary you truly touched many lives this Thanksgiving with this video, the comments, the calls, and even the talk at India Garden was loving and hysterical.
I can't wait to film the Christmas one.

A humble "thank you" to Jim, and to everyone who tries to help make Lakewood a better place to live.
