40 Under 40 Recognition for Lakewood…

Post by mjkuhns »

I am very proud of my neighbor Laura Rodriguez-Carbone, featured as one of Crain's 40 Under 40 for 2017.

Laura has definitely earned the recognition. She juggles many volunteer roles, including the Foundation Planning Task Force.

Her personal background is also inspiring. "Homeless for much of her youth, Rodriguez-Carbone and her family — two younger brothers and their mother — stayed with friends at times, but also on the streets and, when they could afford it, a hotel. Rodriguez-Carbone worked two jobs during high school to help keep the family afloat."

I think we are lucky to have Laura here in Lakewood.

I too, am proud to have Laura and Chris as my neighbors. Good crew and fine for the ever large 216.

I agree and hope she will join the other under 40s who have recently sought public office in Lakewood successfully. Lakewood moving forward needs new voices and vision about what our community can be.

Matt,

my experience working with Laura has been extremely positive. I'm impressed with the thoughtfulness she puts into how she approaches things & her leadership qualities. I listened to her interview on WCPN last week. It's a very moving story.

We also shouldn't forget about George Vlosich, who is another Lakewoodite honored in the 40 under 40
