Re: Planned Blackouts 11/21
Jim:
When I read that news item in Sunday's edition, I contacted FirstEnergy at the listed phone number because I thought it strange that tree trimming on four long streets could be done in six hours. Because you can't contact someone personally you have to go through the company's miserable computerized menu.
While doing so, the thought crossed my mind that there is always someone in the billing department because FE is always looking for money.
So I contacted the billing department and a very courteous woman said she could get me very SPECIFIC information on where the planned blackouts were for our area. She had a list of the specific properties that would lose power for the day.
She also stated that FE would phone each homeowner that would be impacted by any impending power shutdown.
Hope this enlightens things a bit
