After the election, what about bike lanes?

One of the council candidates encountered some turbulence when he posted something about the bike lanes as he said something inaccurate about the process leading up to the master plan implementation.

But he was on to something. There is very significant blow-back to bike lanes out there, especially the "bike lane to nowhere" on western Clifton.

I suspect that a majority of Lakewood residents have experienced inconvenience they didn't count on when the advance meetings were being held.

After the election, it's time to revisit this issue.

I like the bike lanes, generally, but I remain convinced that communication and public input needs much improvement.

Announcing an intention in one document, online, years before it takes place, is barely even publication. It doesn't come close to communication, as defined by my long-ago communications studies course.
