From Lakewood Police Department
On 10-30-17, at 1501 hours, Lakewood Police dispatch received a call that the PNC Bank, located at 14205 Detroit had just been robbed. Lakewood Police responded to the bank and the surrounding area while a description of the suspect was given out to the responding units. The male suspect fled the bank on foot headed westbound on Detroit.
At 1507 hours, a Lakewood Police Officer spotted a male matching the description in the area of Madison and Baxterly. The male was subsequently taken into custody without incident. There were no injuries at the bank as a result of the robbery. The investigation is ongoing and more information on the suspect will be available when he is charged.
