Did I miss something about the "done deal"--- I thought Bryce Sylvester said it wasn't done yet?
Check out the press release in the upper right hand corner of the Carnegie website:

I guess Carnegie's webmaster didn't get the memo that the fake public process is not over yet.
CARNEGIE MANAGEMENT AND DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION AWARDED
MIXED-USE REDEVELOPMENT OF LAKEWOOD HOSPITAL SITE
Westlake, OH (September 27, 2017) – Carnegie Management and Development Corporation today announced that it has been awarded the opportunity by the City of Lakewood, Ohio to design, build and own a transformative mixed-use development that reimagines the urban fabric of this 6.25 acre downtown Lakewood site on Detroit Avenue between Marlowe Avenue and Belle Avenue. The development has been named “One Lakewood Place.”
“This award presents a unique opportunity to honor and transform a historic location within the Lakewood community, centered around a beautiful, one-of-a-kind public square. One Lakewood Place will be a destination to live, work and play for current and future Lakewood residents, representing another step forward in the rich history of this neighborhood and this downtown area of the City,” said Dr. Rustom Khouri, President and CEO of Carnegie Management and Development Corporation.
“Our approach will be to create a project that seamlessly integrates into the streetscape of Detroit Avenue and the delicate tapestry of the surrounding neighborhood through the use of scale, massing, texture, materials and a juxtaposition of uses that can fuel an economic engine to serve a variety of resident needs. We also plan to create a new and unique destination that can be a gathering place and focal point for the entire community with anticipated uses that will include retail, office, rental housing, for-sale housing and a parking garage,” said Senior Vice President and Project Executive George J. Papandreas, Esq., RA.
One Lakewood Place will be designed and constructed in accordance with LEED principles to ensure that best practices for sustainability are incorporated throughout the project. This will include several green design features, as well as bicycle racks or bike share stations, LED lighting and an effort to minimize the use of potable water. Carnegie’s five most recently completed development projects have all achieved LEED silver certification.
“We intend to work hand-in-hand with the representatives of Lakewood and with the public at-large. Working together, we will create a project that will serve the community, show leadership in innovative and sustainable design, appeal to the walkable nature of Lakewood and include tangible elements of the existing Lakewood Hospital as a tribute to the emotions and memories that are associated with this long-standing landmark,” said Project Manager and Development Facilitator Rustom R. Khouri III.
Dr. Rustom Khouri also said, “The entire Carnegie staff and our design and construction development team eagerly looks forward to PURSUING THIS VISION and commencing work on this most intriguing and meaningful project.”

NEAT. Glad to see that it is all wrapped-up and tied with a bow (in their minds at least.) Tells us what they think they know. That it's a lock.
The mayor told the media (Crain's) that the City is giving them all the land for free or $1. (An approximate $4M to $5M transfer of publicly-owned assets!) WONDERFUL.
The planning director told the media (PD) that the City is giving them the benefit of site demolition and site preparation. (An approximate $7M to $10M transfer of either public funds or public services!) MARVELOUS.
The finance director swore to the court that the City is giving $32.4M for the New Foundation! TREMENDOUS.
OK, folks, the City of Lakewood only has an annual budget of $110M.
AND, the City of Lakewood is giving away $47M to private parties! AMAZING.
Such miracle workers!
They must have a battery of printing presses in the basement of City Hall.

There's going to be public input! Lakewood is surely unique in the way that the public guides our government.

What our mayor is giving away belongs to the people of this city and is NOT his to give away!
How does this happen?
Too few pay attention!
