Glad to see you adding subscriptions, Jim. Several senior citizens have mentioned to me they read the Observer religiously but would like to receive a mailed copy. I'll spread the word.

That's not an "evil" eye.

That's a particularly beloved eye.

You'll have to see the graphic up close and in person!

Some, some are Jesuit warriors. We do not ask at the door who you hang with, color, sex, preferences, hobbies, beliefs, etc. Here we are all equal, we all have one voice, we are all equal.

But

The simple fact is that the eye in the pyramid is not now nor has it ever been a Masonic symbol.

But you must see the graphic, in color up close. It features many themes that have been played out in this project. Observers, bystanders, dancing daughters of delphi, observers of the stone cutters, our own version of the eye and the pyramid. Let's not forget at many of the meetings, the VAL is described as a pyramid, but sometimes viewed upside down.

FWIW

I have a running feud with the Lady Eagles bowling league, which is composed of wives of members of the Fraternal Order of Eagles.

Ryan

International Order of Odd Fellows was always my favorite. I was hiking the the Appalachian Trail for days with friends when we emerged from the woods and landed on the Odd Fellows lodge steps. It was real "Deliverance/Wizard of Oz" stuff. We get out of hiking and climbing in deep forest, down the side of a steep 300' hill into a field, we all start singing "We're out of the woods, we're into the light..." from the "Wizard of Oz" As we come to the edge of the field, there is a small road going in two directions. We decide to turn left. Almost instantly we see a sign that reads THE ODD FELLOWS WELCOME YOU. We all stop, chuckle, head to the steps to relax in the cool shade. some of the 20 or so high schools boys and girls lay out in the summer sun. Just as we stop giggling, "Buba" comes around the corner. Whittling a stick with a huge knife, he turned to us and says...

Well I am sure you know the rest.

Be careful those Lady Eagles can drink and bowl with the best.
