Maybe I'm showing my "old timer" hat, but--- where and from whom did this idea to allow the CCF to come in come from in the first place?

Re: Cleveland Clinic inside Lakewood High School
Please read my latest post above. I believe there must be some improprieties involved with the "Clinic" deal or they would not have written a bare-bones FAQ sheet that shows and tells us virtually nothing.
The city and the school board will be approaching us soon for more money.I suggest that we don't open our wallets until we see the complete set of documents that went along with this deal and the official signed contract.
I said from the very beginning that the school board was involved. Like Mr. Summers, birds of a feather, flock together.
If this "deal" is legit, please post all documentation, including the official signed contract on the Deck, as has been requested numerous times before.

Re: Cleveland Clinic inside Lakewood High School
As if the above list of questions is not enough to chew on, the very notion that a private business enterprise can operate out of a public school building with virtually all operating costs incurred by the school district is absurd. This seems to create a very slippery slope.
This whole notion seems rather unprecedented. Are there models available where other public school districts have allowed a private business to operate in their building rent-free, with all utilities paid? If so, I would be very interested in seeing it.
Another point also entered my mind. I am assuming this extra 1,300 square feet of building space inside LHS was designed specifically for this clinic. I am also assuming that the school district will incur all costs of physical building maintenance for this clinic. Will Lakewood City Schools be hiring an extra cleaner/custodian to maintain this clinic?
Who sweeps the floors?
Who repairs leaky ceilings?
Who washes the windows?
Who maintains the light bulbs and electrical systems?
Who maintains and repairs the plumbing?
Who pays for the maintenance of the HVAC system? Wait! We do, because we are already paying for the utilities to operate said HVAC system.
I could probably go on and on, but my point has been made.
The bottom line is: how do the Lakewood City Schools plan to turn a profit from installing this clinic? Where did the funds come from? What is the projected total cost of construction, utilities, maintenance, etc.? Will this lead to our school district entering a financial hole and the school board crying to Big Daddy and/or Big Mama (meaning the taxpayers) for more money?
This is a very slippery slope. Obviously, nobody used their heads and thought this through.

Re: Cleveland Clinic inside Lakewood High School
The evidence suggests that this magical thinking was hatched as far back as 2009 by Ed Fitzgerald, Kevin Butler, Mike Summers and Tom Bullock--to feather their political nests and careers with CCF help and money. "Magical Thinkers" Jay Foran and Mary Anne Crampton put on a presentation with CCF's help in 2009 sprinkling "healthcare is changing--try some angel dust". I have the DVD of the presentation.Stan Austin wrote:Maybe I'm showing my "old timer" hat, but--- where and from whom did this idea to allow the CCF to come in come from in the first place?
The quid for the quo was fake failed "economic development"--Beebe, Einhouse, Shaugnessy & Petrie's father were all ringleaders and/or cheerleaders with Build Lakewood bowing to the Temple $$$$$$.
In 2009, they were all still licking their wounds from the West End loss when they dreamt these dead dreams that ultimately led to exposing the children of Lakewood to this predator.

Sorry for being bit vague, but the unholy alliance between the City Schools and CCF started in 2009 when the folks I mentioned above became part of the CCF PR team. I will ask if someone can convert the video for posting, but cause many of the same slides Jay Foran put in that presentation concerning, among other things, the City Schools/CCF "partnership" were later used by CCF's consultant--Subsidium and late blessed by Huron---all entities that were part of CCF's PR team.
The national "communications strategy" is pretty much laid out in "Deadly Spin" by Wendell Potter
"Third Party Allies"--Build Lakewood--Voters For Progress--now funding Bullock's campaign.
As you listen, keep in mind that CCF and other hospital systems were aligned with the insurance industry in support of the ACA which they all knew would keep them all in power.

Re: Cleveland Clinic inside Lakewood High School
This story broke here on the Deck (only thanks to a Lakewood parent) on August 16th, 2017. That was 41 days ago, or almost 6 weeks ago. Thus far, all we were provided with was a bare-bones FAQ sheet, with no actual answers regarding where the funding came from (bond issue?) and an estimate of expenditures. A full list of my questions can be found above as well as on the previous page of this thread.
I also believe Mr. Monahan asked a question early on in this thread. Thus far, I don't believe he has received a response.
Also, when will the full, complete, signed contract be available? I believe this was requested previously. This could be easily uploaded here on the Deck or on the Lakewood City Schools website.
Where is it?

Re: Cleveland Clinic inside Lakewood High School
Here's a screen shot from the most recent "Lakewood Listens" survey sent out by the school district.
Apparently they don't want to "listen" or hear from those that are aware but NOT excited.
This seems disingenuous. Surely the results will be used to report how "excited" the community is about the Clinic's presence in our schools.

This survey is classic. We've seen this movie over and over, and why I don't bother with them anymore. When they release the results they will claim how excited everyone is that the CCF clinic is on campus and that there exists overwhelming support. And you know, some people will believe it.

Re: Cleveland Clinic inside Lakewood High School
If you want to know how long the City Schools and Lakewood have been "owned" by CCF, take a look at this slide dated September 18, 2016 and presented to Summers, Bullock et al Fake "Select Committee" on September 26, 2013---wherein CCF plans to use the new foundation money to pay themselves for "helping" Lakewood students.
The Fake survey is as bad as the "push poll" that Bullock helped CCF create using taxpayer charitable money to destroy the hospital.
This is all rigged--Beebe, Einhouse et al likely have been in on it from the start.

It should be noted that these Lakewood Listens surveys are hosted by Burges and Burges, a PR/strategy firm, not by the Lakewood schools.Brian Essi wrote: The Fake survey is as bad as the "push poll" that Bullock helped CCF create using taxpayer charitable money to destroy the hospital.

So who is paying them? They are certainly not doing this out of curiosity.John Myers wrote:It should be noted that these Lakewood Listens surveys are hosted by Burges and Burges, a PR/strategy firm, not by the Lakewood schools.Brian Essi wrote: The Fake survey is as bad as the "push poll" that Bullock helped CCF create using taxpayer charitable money to destroy the hospital.

This is interesting information.
So, if i understand this new wrinkle---the school district is spending tax dollars on a PR firm (a PR firm that also helped Summers get re-elected with lies)----the taxpayer funded spin is then used to support and reinforce a program that gives away taxpayer funding medical space, heat, electricity, security, internet, security, maintenance to the County's largest employer for Free!
So, how do you know Burges & Burges authored the "Lakewood Listens" push survey questions and "choices"?

It is no longer active but here is another screenshot. Google #lkwdlistens to learn more.Kate McCarthy wrote:Meg,Meg Ostrowski wrote:Here's a screen shot from the most recent "Lakewood Listens" survey sent out by the school district.
