City Hall Incapable Of Being Honest Council/Adminstration

When we broke the Hospital's Closing story, Mayor Summers, Council President and others called us LIARS.

At the second public meeting months later, Toby Cosgrove openly spoke of closing dates, Mayor Summers told residents it was still staying open.

When they propped up the fictitious number of $120 million in Development, the LO called foul, not true, and proved it with the City's own numbers.

Mayor Summers stood up and the next public meeting to say, "The LO numbers are wrong it is $120 million, and would show everyone. OF COURSE HE NEVER DID.

Now we find out that the Mayor, Council President, Finanace Director, Law Director and others were repeatedly warned that $120 million was not a realistic number, and that they could NEVER justify it, and the real numbers were much lower. They were also repeatedly warned it could be illegal to use FAKE NUMBERS in this with the coming elections and announcements. Yet under the direction of Colin McEwen, Tom Bullock and Mayor Summers they went ahead again and again knowingly presenting FAKE NUMBERS to all the voters, businesses, and bond rating companies looking at our bond rating.

We also warned Finance Director Pae in conversations and in writing that she could end up in criminal court, for using numbers she knew were not real. We warned her in writing, on the Deck in here post, a private message to her here, and she still went ahead and posted, advertised, and put forward on her community page numbers and facts she knew was an out right lie and had be warned not to repeat!

Some of the real documents the City will not turn over were the actual worksheets that allowed the city to come up with their numbers. They have refused to turn them over for over two years. We now know why, They were made up and lying just to get the residents to vote for their 10-year-in-the-making secret plan to liquidate our largest resource into their personal and now VERY PRIVATE foundations.

I also want to remind everyone, City Hall banned the Lakewood Observer and has been working against us since we broke this story. The Lakewood Observer has been awarded 3 Resolutions by City Council and Mayor George and Mayor FitzGerald for service to the community and honesty in reporting. The Ohio Board of Education has awarded the Observer awards for honesty in reporting three times as well. So we honestly report what they are doing, and now, the LO "is a cancer." City Hall stop the BS, stop the lies.

Lakewood, you have been played. While sitting on the Solstice Steps, that you also paid for based solely on how the Mayor wanted to spend our money, they liquidated $178 million more in public assets. We got nothing, they got millions.

Wake up.

This is the document that immediately woke me up and changed my entire perspective on our city government.

The only thing Mr. Summers and his administration need to do is release the documents. It is really that simple.

Why won't they do this?

As I have commented previously, our City officials proceed at their own legal risk and have increased the general litigation risks to the City itself. Each document that I have reviewed since January 2015 has me fully convinced of this.

As long as it can be reasonably demonstrated that City officials are making material misrepresentations in official City documents, anyone (not just me) can put the pieces together.

I compliment the Lakewood Observer and its citizen-journalists for their diligence and persistence in their examination of the activities of our elected and appointed public officials.

I have said for months that I believed Summer's apparent friendship with Armond Budish and Judge O'Donnell would prove to be quite beneficial for our incompetent Mayor.

Why is the judge putting up with Butler's obvious contempt of court? Why is the judge dragging this out, thus, giving Butler more time to destroy the evidence?

Something really is wrong with this picture, and it stinks!
