Law Director said: We have a signed agreement with all the parties for two years, even to the court.

LO said: City Hall knowingly hired a convicted criminal, to work in campaign and intimidate residents. (documents, court records, videos, and more)
City Hall: We didn't know that. Then stopped the public from seeing the documents. Banned the paper from City Hall, and helped through their "players" and "cavalry," and "seven person army" to desperately try to destroy a legal business with thousands of Lakewoodites taking part.

Those asking for public records, are not getting paid, footing all the bills on their own, just to get the truth out. Those stopping the public rights to know, are public officials being paid with tax dollars and spending tax dollars to keep themselves from answering simple questions and to keep their asses out of jail.

Public documents are the only way we can check what elected officials and government agencies are saying is true.

City Hall you have been caught lying more than being honest. You have spent millions lying to Lakewoodites.

Release the records, give the public what every hearing has said. "They are public documents and the public has every right to see them."

City Hall, their Calvary, Seven Person Army, and others have all said: "How will we bring the city together?"

It blows my mind, that people go to sites totally in control of what they say, and if they don't like it, it is gone.

Is Lakewood so filled with nasty people they prefer other people editing their comments?

City Hall had discussion board once, they they found out it was illegal to edit anything. So Jen Pae/City Hall does on on the side to keep people happy, hiding them from the turth.

They are hurting the city not helping. Of Course they also hide "nasty people" they benefit from. Who cares as long as they stay away from the moderators.

Lakewood needs to get smart. Lakewoodites need to own their words.

One major reason that people put up with it is that they don't realize it's happening. There is no disclosure on that FB page that reveals its connection to City Hall.
People are deceived into thinking it's an organic page created by regular citizens.....when in fact it was designed to be a "mirror" version of the "Lakewood, Ohio" page.
Same strategy as the "fake newspaper".

Another reason is that Summers die-hards prefer the news be filtered. I've had people tell me to my face that they're "tired of hearing about" City Hall and the Hospital.
The Trump/Summers regime is overloading the public consciousness with scandals.....some people are burnt out. This type of attitude helps corruption to thrive, because people have lost their sense of outrage.

A citizen has reported negative assessments of Cleveland Clinic Lakewood. And promptly been shut down by a City Hall employee.

According to same citizen, meanwhile, EMS have repeatedly told her that they will take her husband to "Lakewood Hospital."

As she points out, there is no hospital in Lakewood. There are, however, numerous signs claiming the contrary. (Downtown Lakewood wayfinding signs, plus at least a few H-on-a-blue-square signs, e.g. those by the entrance to Lakewood Park.) These remain in place 16 months after Lakewood Hospital officially closed.

I have occasionally noticed this, and wondered about possible reasons. The possibility that city employees are actively claiming to take patients to a hospital, in Lakewood, leads me to continue wondering.

Of course, I don't know whether or not this report of what EMS are saying is accurate. But given the history of how Lakewood's fire chief has dealt with an inquiring public, it's difficult to think of reasons for ruling out the possibility that the report is valid.

This one is easy, and goes back to LO 101, and the early days.

When a responsible, and legal business opens up an open discussion board for everyone, all the others become about controlling messages. PERIOD

But we learned, people in Lakewood get nasty, and they need someone controlling their message, and the ability to delete when sobered up again.

Question: Does Jenn Pae serve at the mayor's "pleasure" like so many that work for the president?

If Summers is ever defeated in a head to head election, I would like to see a new person installed in the position of Finance Director. Her regrettable decision to be on the front lines of the hospital debate and to engage in other politically charged activities (such as that facebook page) mean she is someone a very significant percentage of us will never trust, regardless of who is mayor.

It would be interesting to see Ms. Pae's computer usage and browser history, especially if it shows what time pages were accessed and how long was spent on each page. I will go out on a limb here and suspect that this page is probably being run during working hours.

I am amazed at how far these people appear to go in order to protect Mr. Summers. When poop hits the fan, I suspect Mr. Summers will be long gone.

THANK YOU! for addressing this thread on the Lakewood Community Face Book site. I JUST saw it and am again amazed at Jenn Pae's attitude. SHE is shutting down the site because she doesn't believe in free speech that might contradict the view of her boss Mayor Summers.

We knew the ER was NOT comparable to the services we have had in the past. It was only a matter of time until clear cut examples of both the lesser ability and the HUGE additional cost would surface and be discussed by people who were not involved in the Save Lakewood Hospital effort. No one questions the EMS' skill but there is no question about the diminished capability of a free-standing ER versus a traditional ED attached to a full service hospital.

We were told that the patient could dictate where they wanted to go. Clearly that is not true. Again, the difference between what the City and CCF told it's residents and the truth was bound to surface.

Wait until the true and ultimate financial impact of the misdeed of giving away your largest industry, 1100 jobs @ $59,000 average each and full-service healthcare to boot surface. Wait until taxes, both property and income need to be increased. Watch with despair when City services are taken to the private sector to save money and the "service" to our citizens plummets.

Liz Spais' tale and the accompanying thread of response are legitimate topics of conversation regarding the Lakewood Community.

Gestapo Pae should be allowing free discussion on this site, whether she (or the Mayor or City Council etc...) agrees or not. If she thinks she is helping the city's cause, she is wrong. Stopping FREE SPEECH only garners questions of "What are they hiding?" from residents that never asked the question before, that never thought one way or the other about the changes to Lakewood's healthcare.

Jenn Pae could have had her say and allowed the thread of free speech to continue until it had run it's course. Instead, she has chosen to highlight the questionable practices of this city administration. Instead, the question of "transparency" and hiding information from the public will be taken more seriously by those whose free speech through a FB site entitled "Lakewood Community" has been stunted and denied.

Looks like they are getting some blowback. Several posters are questioning if the page and the moderators are public, private, or run by the city.

Slowly, but surely, people are realizing it is a propoganda site, not a "community" site.

Thank you, I agree.

Speaking of lying and contradictions (what seems to be the main point of this thread), don't forget we had two individuals besides Mr. Summers going around and giving "information" to the community. One was Dr. Judith Welsh (a CCF doctor whom, in my opinion, had deeply-rooted conflicts of interest), and Fire Chief Scott Gilman, whom we later found out did not have an active paramedic license since 2007, according to state records.

I wonder if Ms. Pae realizes how deeply-rooted she appears to be vested in this. As I said before, I doubt Mr. Summers will be around to protect her when poop hits the fan. How long until a "for sale" sign goes up in front of her house?

Please recall that even though the CAFR said the hospital was sold:
1. David Anderson said it was not sold because the bricks and mortar were still there; and
2. Jenn Pae said that a hospital is not bricks and mortar but feared the empty building--which we now have but she says its a hospital; and
3. Tom Bullock and Mike Summers said it was "good news" that the hospital was closing while they announced it was closing but said it would not close; and
4. Ryan Nowlin said the Master Agreement was "the only way" to guaranty uninterrupted ER service even though they never asked anyone to run an ER besides CCF; and
5. Cindy Marx said Tom Gable (LHA/CCF Trustee) told her the hospital was closing in 2013 and she was against it closing before she said she was for it closing (shortly after she joined McEwen's "7-member Communications Army); and
6. Tom Bullock was against the hospital closing before he was for the hospital closing, and before he said the hospital really hasn't closed because the bricks and mortar are still there so we still have a hospital.
