9 Years Ago - Kenneth Warren Wrote...

Post by Jim O'Bryan »

"With critical consciousness, LO observes the activation of the fascism-paranoia pole (see A Thousand Plateaus: Capitalism and Schizophrenia by Gilles Deleuze and Felix Guattari) - resulting
from stepped-up indoctrination and colonization efforts of mainstream media, the Levin College of Urban Affairs, faith-based regional organizers, and real estate developers interested in
collapsing seats of hyper-local municipal governments in Cuyahoga County."

And today, he is spot on.

Friend, author, poet, musician, reiki master, and partner in business Kenneth Warren, reads to Steve Davis friend and partner from his new book.
"Captain Poetry's Sucker Punch - A Guide to the Homeric Punkhole, 1980 - 2012" A hard look into poetry and the punk music movement through the eyes
and words of those involved, and Ken interweaving his words, stories and critical reasoning into the whole era. 470 pages of good reading!

Ah Jim, my friend...

To remind us today, on Sunday of ALL days, of our dear late friend (and my drumming mate) Ken...

Ken was one of few here who could be a voice, at once, for unity, as well as for uncompromising righteousness, without showing the least of the elements of irony or dichotomy; unlike so much of today's dissected puerile on-the-net tribalism.

When indeed, will people learn?

Normally, I would reach for the iconic Lakewood Observer banjo, but not right now.

I would simply suggest that you all cue up U-2's "Sunday, Bloody Sunday", while carefully examining the lyrics. :D

Let Bono and Edge do my singing today. I'll be happy to sing along. :D

Then cue it up and sing along.

I too am wondering how long we must sing this song.

As for Ken Warren, let's not forgot he was run out of town, by many of the powers to be running other scams. Can't have a city of thinkers or critical thought, better attack, marginalize, and try to shut down all conversation, conversation and open thought.

Sing on Gary.
