Not clear that we should trade JO'B for a pile of redacted papers. Beautiful, complicated, redacted papers. Piled on a table. Not a good trade. JO'B worth more. Unfair!

Hey-- you're gettin' the rhythm of an uneducated, inarticulate poster!

Ms. Conant: The court has the inherent power to impose sanctions against the party filing the false affidavit. The Office of Disciplinary Counsel has the power to issue sanctions against the lawyer who made the filing.
This problem has been raised in the case.

Re: My Deal For City Hall
Thank you, Mr Kindt.
I find it fascinating that people who are decently educated and knowledgeable seem to have no problem overlooking inconsistencies in timelines and documents, contradictory statements by the mayor, and misleading and false court filings, (that they can easily verify!) and still believe the mayor and the Clinic's version of events.
There is a sort of cognitive dissonance going on. As Mike Deneen sagaciously pointed out in his "Twilight" post, there are so many parallels between this and the country's belief that Trump will "Make America Great Again" while here in Lakewood the mayor is selling "Progress!"
What makes people abandon all sense and reason?

Any particular reason why this is pinned on top vs other posts? And, who pinned it?

What happens all the time? Deals with city hall? Or pinning posts? That still doesn't answer why this one is more important than any other.james fitzgibbons wrote:Happens all the time.

I pinned it as I see it as an offer that should not be falling down the list.

Based on the title of this thread, I though Jimmy might actually have something interesting to say. But no, it's just another rambling tirade based on his inflated sense of how important he is. I'm sure that City Hall is terribly impressed by his offer to walk away from the Observer. Who cares?

Re: My Deal For City Hall
For those who (like myself) have not been around forever, apparently this indescribably thoughtful and helpful new comment is the much-delayed sequel to a heated series of complaints almost five years ago.
Curiously, those complaints included a pledge that "you can expect to hear from me regularly." This seems to be the first time that this statement of intent has been carried out.
I shouldn't speculate on possible reasons for that. But I did find that this lengthy rebuttal toward the end of the thread appeared largely to settle the issue at that time… http://lakewoodobserver.com/forum/viewt ... =15#p81034

Everyone should care about corruption in government but not everyone does.Dennis Spirgen wrote:Based on the title of this thread, I though Jimmy might actually have something interesting to say. The Lakewood Observer offers a unique platform for elected officials to engage and inform the citizens. Rather than take advantage of that platform our local politicians seek to tear it down.
Why?
I suspect that you are not interested in the answer.

Damn, you know how to add to a discussion. YAWN
No one is impressed less by me, than me. You don't know me.
City Hall spent over $1million lying to Lakewood to "spin and shut up the Observer."
I thought maybe we could save the City some money, time and four lawsuits.
But yet another resident in favor of being lied and led around like a calf to the slaughter.
I will admit it was a sucker's offer. They don't want to go to jail, that is why they fight so hard.

There are a lot of sheep in Lakewood. It's all sparkles and bubbles to them. But yet another resident in favor of being lied and led around like a calf to the slaughter.
I think a lot of people are lacking critical thinking skills.

I thought Butler and Gilman were the Mayor's spokespersons. Welcome new recruit!
