When the Mayor's hospital comments weren't "political"

Post by Dan Alaimo »

A recent online discussion involving a statement about the hospital deal by the Mayor, followed by many, many questions sheds some light on how City Hall thinks of dialog with citizens. The Mayor's comments were said to be non political, while critical follow up questions were said to be political, and therefore not welcome.

Let's be real. The referendum on the hospital deal is on the ballot so nearly everything said about it is political.

This reminds me of one "Bad Government" article we've yet to promote like have with others: "Mayor Wants it Both Ways: Health Services Good, Those Who Advocate for Them Bad". I'll probably share it one or two places this afternoon.

Take a look and please share where you will.
