Restaurants: Coming soon to lakewood

Post by jackie f taylor »

A cafeteria, buffet style restaurant is coming to Lakewood, serving breakfast, lunch & dinner, eat in or to go. What a great concept, I can get all the scrambled eggs, sausage, bacon, potatoes, pancakes, bisquits & gravy, or salad, sandwiches, soups, and endless dinner's to take home, just like the " China Buffet" on Warren road. Offering everything from stuff cabbage, chicken paprika, sausage & kraut, breaded pork chops, real turkey dinner with all the homemade fixen's, roasted chicken dinners, Hungarian goulash, fish & chips, baked ham, roast beef, not to mention all the pasta dishes, I'd like a room please. In my dreams.

In the biz, we call this concept:

Hot and A Lot

Doesn't have to be good, just warm and lots of it. . .

I also understand, that Olive Garden is going to open up in Lakewood, a new concept, an "order on line or call in, take out only, drive thru restaurant, no seating just drive thru, their entire menu will be available, can't wait, maybe they will take the Lakewood hospital garage being dismantled as their new location. They will also feature the menu from the Red lobster, since it's all in the family.

Nothing like all these health food joints coming to town, just in time to help make us the "healthiest city in the country!"

...and you don't even have to get out of your car! Is America great or what?

There was a big craze a few years ago about an Applebee's coming to Lakewood on the Rockport Square land. I don't know why that fell through, but I suspect that Michael P. Summers liked the idea of ,overpriced, bland condos built by the Cleveland Clinic better. Mark my words that these will lose their value and become run down in 10-15 years, then they will just be rented out and ruined.

If they look anything like the "Luxury Condos" being built on Detroit near Coutant, well. I'd rather have the parking garage.
