And Summers & Co. are still hiding the ball on their Big Dream Plan.

If they come out with The Plan in the next 18 days, it will have been planned and decided in secret and without public bidding.

Also, will 18 days be enough time for voters to investigate the validity of The Plan.

Yet when tons of outsiders (those not living in Lakewood) from the Cleveland Clinic weighed in on the "deal," held press conferences promoting the deal, provided considerable funding towards the Build Lakewood camapaign and against the last ballot initiative, there was not a peep out of Corey Rossen.

The outsiders you mention are looking out for the future of our city and its progress, so I am fine with that.

There is NO progress with a restrictive covenant. There is no progress when you fail to perform a genuine RFP and allow 1100 jobs to leave our city. Where was the support to Nature's Bin, a buisness that provides work for those with disabilities? AGAIN.... SELF-SERVING -greed with no regard for the greater welfare of the people.

I understand what you are trying to say but your example deserves an asterisk. Nature's Bin is/was a great place but they went up against the big boys that moved in in Rocky River. To top that, Heinen's stepped up their game. So Nature's Bin, with their quality business and long standing customer base, had a fight at their hands. All three going for the same demographic. I'm not sure what ANY city government could do to combat that. Natures Bin was a great place but their customers went away, they went elsewhere. How does a government protect against that? Especially when the business is just over the border.

Another example: Geiger's would have a tough time if Dick's Sporting Goods moved into town. Giant Eagle would suffer if Costco was in town. Etc.
