So here we are.

18 days before an election.

And Summers & Co. are still hiding the ball on their Big Dream Plan.

If they come out with The Plan in the next 18 days, it will have been planned and decided in secret and without public bidding.

Sound familiar.

Also, will 18 days be enough time for voters to investigate the validity of The Plan.

Correction: 18 days until the day we know the results of the election, which is now well underway.
If they wait much longer, they will miss many voters.

The outsiders you mention are looking out for the future of our city and its progress, so I am fine with that.
There is NO progress with a restrictive covenant. There is no progress when you fail to perform a genuine RFP and allow 1100 jobs to leave our city. Where was the support to Nature's Bin, a buisness that provides work for those with disabilities? AGAIN.... SELF-SERVING -greed with no regard for the greater welfare of the people.

I understand what you are trying to say but your example deserves an asterisk. Nature's Bin is/was a great place but they went up against the big boys that moved in in Rocky River. To top that, Heinen's stepped up their game. So Nature's Bin, with their quality business and long standing customer base, had a fight at their hands. All three going for the same demographic. I'm not sure what ANY city government could do to combat that. Natures Bin was a great place but their customers went away, they went elsewhere. How does a government protect against that? Especially when the business is just over the border.

Another example: Geiger's would have a tough time if Dick's Sporting Goods moved into town. Giant Eagle would suffer if Costco was in town. Etc.

Every hear of bad management? BP managed to go from the 5th largest company in the world to just outside the top 200, during an oil boom.

Ever hear of planned bad management? BP owned Old Ben Coal, eventually they had to close it. In an energy rich economy.

Four things happened, probably more with the addition of the McDonald's space. 1)Emphasis changed, 2)Management changed, 3) Mission statement changed 4) staff changed. To only fault Whole Foods, which they knew about in full when they changed, would be to say the only reason my hair is long is because it grows, when not cutting it seems to be as much if not more of the reason.

Why are people blaming the government then, if the real problem came from within the company?

How can a small company like Natures Bin compete with pricing from larger stores that carry similar products?

Maybe you should have shopped more at Natures Bin and less elsewhere. We're you part of the problem or part of the solution? You say it coming, so why not help them prevent closure?

I simply stated facts, Whole Foods was not a singular reason.

Also when the city did the land deal, they new full well Whole Foods was coming in.

We shopped there almost daily. Deb's very close to some workers, many that have left have called and written. We have always been a supporter of their efforts, and their training programs.

Is Giant Eagle failing, because of Heinens? Whole Foods, or them changing the aisles, suppliers and products, making it harder to shop?

Yes, Giant Eagle is struggling. They are looking at making it more like Heinen's.

When way-finding was put in, and forgotten 5 years ago, we noticed some strange empty holes that really did not line up on things.

Another ooooppppps glimpse into the future?

Meaning they left space to add wayfinding to Fairview and Avon?
