Vote For 64 Post Card Full Of Lies.

Yesterday, I received my "vote for 64 post card" in the mail. My jaw dropped to the floor when I read all the lies that are listed. Of course, Ron Petrie is, once again, the treasurer.

It states that City Council voted unanimously for this alleged illegal and immoral deal. Now we can confirm that ALL of council was involved in this.

This post card lists false statements, such as:

Voting won't reopen the old hospital, it just means we could lose our new modern healthcare center. Summers and Extended Company failed to mention that it just makes the Cleveland Clinic deal null and void and that we can then take bids for the others whose bids were shut out the first time. In other words, the legal way as it should have been done according to the Federal Trades Law.

A world class Emergency room . It is NOT an emergency room. It is an URGI-CARE! There is no trauma care, no trauma surgeons, no surgery, no specialists available without outside referral,etc. Over 95% of visits result in an added ambulance ride to a REAL hospital. You then get charged for two ambulance rides , one URGI-CARE visit, and one emergency room visit when you get to a REAL hospital. A hospital ride to Lutheran costs $750.00 dollars and you get to watch the attendants eat their dinner while en route. ( Donald Martens )

The same medical services that 94% of patients sought at the old hospital. Really? There is no REAL emergency room, no trauma services, no emergency surgeries no non-emergency srevices no obstetrics and no in patient facilities. How does that equal 94%? Not to mention all the wonderful physicians that we came to know and love not being on staff anymore unless they signed with CCF! My three specialists are gone now.

Wow! 20 million to redevelop the old hospital sight. What will be built? The Michael P. Summers Recreation Center? I bet there will be an ice rink for John Litten, a soccer field for Brian Summers, and of course the World of bars! Heaven forbid their be no alcohol! Don't forget folks, people like us won't be able to afford to join, so you might as well call it the Mayor and friends private club. I am sure that the home owners on the west side of Belle and the east side of Saint Charles will be glad to know that the alleged home thieves will be along to take your homes for the Summers Country Club project!

A total investment in our community of 120 million without cost to Lakewood residents? Really? How many residents know that WE the TAX PAYERS are PAYING to DEMOLISH the south MEDICAL BUILDING and GARAGE for Cleveland CLINIC"S new building. Why? It appears that Summers and Council care more about the Cleveland Clinic more than they do the rest of us 51,000 residents! How about giving us roads without pot holes, safe streets to walk on, a cleaner,more kept up city? No folks, OUR 7 plus MILLION dollars will be GIVEN AT NO CHARGE to CCF for demolition. Why are they rushing to waste our tax dollars on getting this building torn down, when their side could lose the election? Really? We have money to waste? They should be waiting to see what happens first. What economic development have Summers and Extended Company brought to Lakewood? Bars, smoking lounges, burner cell phone stores, ( call your dope dealer direct for a lot less ).

A town our size and with families ranging in age from new born to old age NEED a full functioning HOSPITAL. Summers and Company's deal will bring us a medical building and an URGI_CARE. Rumor has it that once the medical building is built, the Urgi-Care is going to close. Not like it will make any difference since it now is worth a plug nickel!

Let us review where our city has gone over the past two years. Summers and Extended Company are allegedly stealing resident's homes and tearing them down, primarily old folks and minorities, which I believe, is alleged racism. Alleged misuse of Housing and Urban Development money, alleged misuse of Community grant money. Allegedly billing citizens for taxes and services after they have stolen their homes and torn them down. Residents at the Westerly are saying that Curt Brosky, LHA, member of Summers and Extended Company , is allegedly threatening them if they talk about or read any literature about the hospital.

Summers ans Extended Company, why won't you release the records in their entirety concerning this alleged illegal hospital scam? What are you all hiding? Why was a public asset given away practically for free to CCF, while ignoring much better bids that would have benefited Lakewood greatly?

We must STOP these alleged thieves before we lose our entire city! Trust me, there will be alleged kick backs between "friends" when the construction and destruction crews come in.They are allegedly money laundering away Lakewood, one dollar at a time, and one house at a time. Could your house be next to be seized by these alleged home thieves? We need to start taking our city back by VOTING AGAINST ISSUE 64!

Bill's post got me thinking:

If the deal is so great, why did Summers say "the hospital is not closing"?

If the deal is so great, why did Madigan say "I've heard rumors too"?

If the deal is so great, why did Summers & Co. allegedly engage in bid-rigging and shut out at least three other bidders? According to the FBI, this is a "red flag" for kickbacks, racketeering, or other criminal activity.

If the deal is so great, why did Summers & Butler change the records retention periods to such short time-frames? Even police reports are now shredded after three years.

If the deal is so great, why does Butler appear to be hiding hundreds of public records?

If the deal is so great, why was the Observer supposedly banned at City Hall and why is it supposedly being stolen out of stores?

If the deal is so great, why won't City Hall release the transport times? We all know that it is not as complicated as it is made out to be to post these. It is also completely legal to post these. It is public information.

If the deal is so great, why are seniors at the Westerly allegedly being threatened by management if they speak about or talk to anyone about the hospital?

If the deal is so great, why don't we have economic developers pounding on the doors at City Hall wanting to develop the land? Possibly because City Hall wants to give Zaremba or Liberty Development the deal to built the "Michael P. Summers Recreation Center."

Just say no to Summers & Co. Just say no to all of the lies, cover-ups, hiding, and alleged criminal activity. Just vote against 64. Put a dent in their crusade.
