Stan,

Are you "mature" enough to remember those Series?

I have been to just 2 playoff games at the Jake. The first one was the first ever playoff game at the Jake (1995) when the Indians Tony Pena hit a game winning homer in the 13th inning after a couple of hours of rain delay. My dad and 2 brothers and I sat 3 rows behind the first base dugout in full foul weather gear. The second was tonight and it was electric. Andrew Millers left arm is seven feet long and he throws sidearm. NASTY!

As the great Alan Alda once said in the 1995 movie CANADIAN BACON when he played the POTUS, "get out of our country Pronto, or we'll bomb Toronto".

Most eyes were on the Indians Saturday, but it was also a busy sports day here in Lakewood.

As mentioned, the LHS boys XC team won the SWC championship Saturday morning. Story coming in the Observer.

St. Edward football defeated another Canadian team at "The Fed" on Saturday afternoon.

LHS boys soccer won the Riverwood Cup on Saturday Night at "The Fed"....props to the grounds crew and maintenance for the quick field turnaround.
It was a huge win for the Rangers over Rocky River....click this link for the full story and to see happy pictures.
