You know-- that while a bunch of us are squabbling about various issues here - there's lots of folks, parents, neighbors supporting and doing the driving, coaching, and Boosters, so that Lakewood kids can REALLY aspire to the Olympics!

There is an indoor soccer team that plays on a basketball court in Parma that is also their national leagues champion. I am not sure of the name of the sport or the name of the Cleveland team - but congrats to them.

Sounds like a cool sport. Smaller field. Smaller ball (but heavier).

(They play at CVC or Sports Nets, whatever the name of the place is.)

Good luck with that, last thing I would associate the LO with in the last years is positivity.

J Hrlec---That's why I'm trying to change the mentality. I HOPE, I repeat HOPE- that after Nov 8, we're all able to move on and unify as a community behind whatever the voters decide. Let it be the final decision (either way) and start to rally together. We have in the past when there has been splits in the community, and this has to be a moment now.

BTW...Can't wait for the bright oranges and reds of the maple trees in the coming weeks!

Once again good luck, there's probably better places to look for positivity. When every other thread seems like slander against city hall regardless of topic, there's a severe lack of positivity, intelligent conversation and overall usefulness as a community forum.

I do agree however.... looking forward to the changing leaves and love the cooler weather. Lakewood is a great city.

They do a very nice job with the print Observer keeping it positive and neutral. Maybe they run things you don't agree with, but they run things I don't agree with too (ie Chitra Walkers "report" on the Dem meeting).

The Deck is a slightly different animal. It's the wild, wild west by design, and takes on the character of those who chose to participate.
