Jim, Sorry but amazed doesn't cut it.

Does he support this action or does he oppose it.

I saw Mr. O'Malley was on here moments ago and I had hoped he'd take the opportunity to state his position.

I want to know where my city council person stands with regards to this ham-fisted attempt to subvert democracy.

Perhaps he will, and his words coming from him will be far more powerful than coming from me, no matter what he says.

He was eating ice cream, we were talking about family members I might have known, you know Irish stuff.

My comment of his on Tristan came from when they were having coffee months ago, and he introduced, the MoveOn.Org organizer as even most democrat than I.
I am not a member of the Democratic Club of Lakewood.

I believe I am too liberal for that crowd. I talk and listen to anyone.

I am so astounded at this that at the moment I really can't reply with analysis. All I can say is that you idiots----that means Lakewood Democratic Club Officers, and you--- Steve Bennett---you should know better.

I noticed that the signature area includes the word "Cordially". Hahahahahahaha...and the signer doesn't have her named typed out. One recipient didn't know who the signer was. It doesn't include her title as President..

Yup...yellow...

Doesn't include the union bug that is on their normal stationary either.

I remember Lakewood when you didn't have to second guess everything.

This was a big mistake. A sign of desperation.

It's all over Facebook and Twitter.

Do these morons not know about social media?

This is our leadership?

Here's a link to the by-laws:

The reasons given for these expulsions are clearly problematic.
I hope Mike Skindell is there with his knowledge of the Rules of Order.
The Cuyahoga County Progressive Caucus is planning a rally prior to the meeting at 6:45.
It looks like another long night.

If we look back about 15 months you will see one of many articles on ruining the Lakewood Brand, and the fallout.

It now looks like leadership squandered our cool, on pet projects and money for friends.

Did these morons not see the damage they are doing to the entire community?

The Mayor and his supporters seem willing to corrupt all of Lakewood's institutions in an effort to save the corrupt Hospital deal.

Is it worth it?

Perhaps Nickie Antonio will make a statement at the meeting tonight. She is a member, yes? Was it planned out that nobody would run against her?

Myself and the community will never forget the 12/21/15 council meeting when she appeared to stand up and support Summers & Co. I had a suspicion she was working both sides, but did not want to mention it until I had some evidence. I believe I now have that evidence. We also cannot forget that Ms. Antonio appeared to infiltrate SLH and Mike Skindell's campaign and then suddenly did a 180. I would hate to think she was giving secrets to Summers. I guess we'll never know for sure, we can only speculate.

If this provides more motivation for Tristan and the progressive caucus to support the SLH cause, it will be a big win no matter what happens tonight.

So I had to stop by to see the excitement. I snapped some terrible pictures that I will post below. Senator Skindell did talk with the protesters and told them 8 people had been sent letters and most had voted in the most recent primary which technically did switch their party affiliation. I heard him say some were going to be able to vote provisionally and they would decide what happened at a later time.

The protest was mostly calm and positive except when Tom Bullock showed up with his son and someone yelled a few times asking Tom if he would teach his son to act like he was acting. The protester said something insulting but can't remember the exact term. Everyone waited patiently in line while protesters stood around them. The only person I didn't see wait in line was John Litton who bolted in through the other door.

There were a couple police cars in the lot when I arrived at 7:00am but one had left by the time I did at 7:35. As the lone true republican there I was treated very well by protesters and members.

As I was leaving I saw someone carrying dozens of PRO-64 yard signs into the meeting. Should be interesting to see how the vote goes.
