sounds kind of Orwellian and probably has to do with the loss of our hospital-- if you're keeping track-- though I don't know for sure.

These meetings are always interesting. You should attend if you can.

I would be willing to bet this will be another chance for "The Active Living Task Force" to pops its head up allowing Jay Foran to make a presentation, on how they should be trusted with taking over the Rec Department, errr, working with the various agencies to provide, "active living" based on money from hospital deal, errrr various programs...

I am not up to speed on any of this but...

You know, the schools are just about $500,000 short on the indoor running track. If the City or Active Living, could fund that, man they could prove how they could run the entire rec department, the 3 new soccer fields and... oh sorry, got carried away again.

I think it is well known by now that our School Board members appear to be a part of the Summers and Extended Family group. I have been thinking more and more about how, thanks to the incompetency of our board members being able to write or interpret contracts, the schools are at least 6 million over budget. The tax payers of Lakewood will be approached in 2017 to pay for the board's incompetency.

With the alleged money laundering of our hospital and alleged stealing of resident's homes, alleged misuse of Housing and Urban Development money, and alleged misuse of Community Development Block Grants, that 6 million over budget is a hefty sum. I believe it appears that the Lakewood City Schools could possibly be a part of the bigger picture here in Lakewood and need to be investigated.

By the way, expect another LARGE TAX INCREASE due to the alleged theft of our hospital!
