Buy the pound
I bought a 10 pound bag of golden potatoes last week, stuck them a basket under my sink. In just a week, I noticed all these tiny fruit flies buzzing around, I looked at the bag, and half were rotten, I screamed and threw them all out. I will investigate which store I bought them from, just one week! Another time I wanted to make sea food salad, I only needed one rib of celery, not a whole stalk, it will rot before I can use it up. I feel like breaking off a rib and sticking it in with my leaf lettus. Parsley, I have to buy a "bunch" for $1.99 just to use 1/3rd for my dish, Why not offer, sell the potatoes in bulk? Let me decide how many I want, why do I have to buy a 10 pound bag? I'm single, if the potatoes would last, I'd have them for a month or longer. Take ground beef, I can buy as little or more that I want, I am not obligated to buy 5 lbs, why can't I purchase potatoes that way, exactly what I need? Why can't I purchase as much parsley as I want, charge me by the once. I can buy bulk coffee that way, why not other products? Jalapeno peppers, I can buy just one, the charge by weight, 15 cents, that's all I want.

Re: Buy the pound
Jackie, you can buy potatoes by the pound at Whole Foods and sometimes at Natures Bin.
