Some of these posts have led me to consider which Lakewood official it's most in my self interest to show respect.
The Mayor? - That ship has sailed.
Council? - They are pulling up the anchor.
Police Chief? - Hmm, a very close second to...
Fire Chief Gilman - This man is in charge of the fire trucks and ambulances. No question.
That's not to say he or his department would ever make a decision based on some critical post on the Deck, but just sayin' he's probably the most important public official to any of us in our day-to-day lives here in Lakewood.

Wow!

For what it's worth, I feel that our fire department is great.

With that being said, I don't feel it is out-of-line to be a bit perturbed when a public official comes online and makes a blanket statement about Deck posters posting "inaccurate" information and is evidently not able to:

1. Name which Deck posters posted the allegedly inaccurate information.
2. Name the statement that is allegedly inaccurate.
3. Provide tangible documentation proving that the alleged inaccurate statement is indeed "inaccurate".

If a sanitation worker or any other city employee were to do something similar, they would be asked for the same information, regardless of what department or division they worked in.

If any Deck members wish to not read my posts, I would encourage them to utilize the "foe" option here on the Deck and add me as a "foe" so they do not have to look at my posts. Jim O'Bryan could probably explain how to add friends and foes.

Finally, this thread has now drifted. This thread should probably be left to die or should be put back on track.
