I just read the rules you agreed to when you signed up. Maybe you should.
Or the new ones we are working on.

Corey,
Thanks for calling out all those who would curse in their discourse on the deck. One thing in missing though with all of the quotes, and that is context.

Actually, there much, much more than that.
But some people would never understand it, and complain no matter what is said.
So it makes no sense to engage in any way, why bother?

This has been vintage Corey. One comment that makes a point that is arguably on target for the topic, and which possibly should have been under a more specific topic, followed by a page (actually 2 half pages) of discussion going nowhere. Maybe it's not quite trolling, but it is certainly disruptive.

Not sure how it is disruptive to make note of rules that apply to some but not others...on a thread about rules. There is no need for further discussion on this, it happens everywhere and it is happening here - just some people don't seem to realize its prevalence here. Or they simply choose to ignore it.Dan Alaimo wrote:This has been vintage Corey. Again, no need for further discussion on this, which should please (and appease) you, and others.

The discussion is relevant, especially as we try out new things, things we have never done.
But, from my heart. Read the rules as posted originally, when you signed on. Read the new ones we are working with. So that at least you have read them, as a starting point.
They are at the beginning of this thread. So instead of reposting and reposting what do they say, why not go back. Read them again.
If you have ideas, comments, or anything you feel would add to the discussion of possible new rules.
But I think the old rules, cover it, and the possible new rules cover it better.

I get it, everything is your/moderators discretion. This includes profanity, bumps, harassment, bullying, etc.
Enough discussion on this, nothing will change as we all can see. Someone just slipped in the word "pissed" into a post and nothing was done - see, nothing changes. Your discretion, I get it.

Re: New Rules For The Deck Needed?
Mr. Rossen,
This is truly heart-rending. Here's the difference.
You are talking about various aspects of being a victim, and/or purposely blowing up threads with which you and your team disagree. You can't seem to get unstuck from doing so, or it is indeed your purpose.
Most others on The Deck are talking about and sharing pictures of clouds, fauna, and nature. Most others are talking about community issues like trash, politics, hospitals, schools and high schools, athletics, city services, city hall, people in the city, businesses, roads and traffic, restaurants and food, weather, the performing arts, music, history, trees, parks, signs, homes, events...shared experiences. These are things of interest, often vital to the community of Lakewood. I have frequently referred to this as content.
I honestly don't think you'll get the distinction.

Move along.
Enough already, move along and talk about your picture of clouds with fauna on the trees over a pile of trash near the hospital and down the street from a school athletic field that is being poorly serviced by the city services of City Hall while your business is suffering due to bad roads and traffic because of bad weather...because from I can tell, you lack content by your own definition. Check your posts again. Every. Single. One. Of. Them. While you are at it, check to see who is calling themselves victims time and time again. Then check again to see if those same people are trying to halt the freedom of speech. Then check again to see who is blowing up threads, or even more unoriginal - bumping and then bumping and then bumping again. I believe that is stuck in a rut by sheer repetition alone.
I have no purpose, what is yours? Please do tell, because apparently you have one in all of your mundane posts about nothing - you're like Seinfeld of Lakewood.
Move along.

I went back and looked, no one has registered a complaint on profanity, bumps(? really), harassment, or bullying.
NO ONE, not even you, EVER.
Are you telling me, that you want me to take actions on my own? I get total discretion. You would support that every time?
Corey, you can't have it both ways.
As I have said, time and time again, read the rules you agreed too, read the new rules we are considering/trying.
