Moving this piece of driftwood relating to Kate E, Parker from another topic (there were a couple of responses there as well; one of these days I'll learn to do this properly):

Re: Corey wants to know...
Let's be cautious here...
First of all, this is NOT meant to be personally critical of anyone, but instead, to simply waive a reminder flag...
Excerpt from the 'Deck rule:
"personal attacks will not be tolerated and could result in a ban if reported. Trolling is defined as posting anything specifically designed to attract a NEGATIVE REACTION FROM AN INDIVIDUAL OR GROUP." (caps emphasis mine)
I question the appropriateness of CALLING A PRIVATE INDIVIDUAL OUT BY NAME in a public forum. Public issues, and not private personalities, should be the cornerstones of community discussions.
If a person's name has been missing from the 'Deck for awhile, for whatever reason, that is that person's personal business.
I honestly believe that people getting too personal online was a great part of the recent 'Deck crisis.
IMHO
