Beebe Sets A Bad Example By Teaching Our Children To Win By Lying And Keep Stuff Obtained by Lying

Post by Brian Essi »

Just when we thought she had caused all the damage possible, Linda Beebe has out done herself again setting another bad example for Lakewood children.

She started her opinion piece in the LO by accusing thousands of Lakewood citizens of engaging in "drama". This comes from a grown woman lawyer who manufactured her own drama by running to the police claiming to be "threatened" by an online post that called her and her BL friends out for lying to the public in bogus mailings from their crooked PAC. She engaged with the mayor about her drama too. Drama much Linda?

In addition to the fake drama she created with the police, Beebe put her name on the Build Lakewood website that claimed the CCF family health center was a "hospital"--that was a lie.

Beebe personally donated money to the PAC of Lies that was proven to use public charitable money to spread lies in postcards to Lakewood voters to influence an election--more lies. Here is the campaign finance reports signed by Jay Carson showing Beebe'd contribution:
Report (3) Beebe Donated to PAC of LIES.pdf
(332.55 KiB) Downloaded 163 times
Now Beebe says because she and her friends won the election by lying, everyone should just let her and her friends keep what they won by lying.

Beebe is teaching Lakewood children there should be no accountability for lying and that they should be able to keep stuff obtained by lying.

What a horrible example she sets for Lakewood children.

Well said, sir.

I've been fortunate to meet many Lakewood students, parents, and teachers over my years with the Observer. They've consistently been a fine, hard working, honest lot.
They deserve leadership better than than what they get from this school board.

On a side note, I highly recommend Chuck Greanoff's column in this week's issue. He outlines some of the great things being done by teachers and students at Lakewood High.

In my opinion, the absolute worst thing is having young people think that it's normal for local politicians, people that live in your own community, to work AGAINST you rather than FOR you.

Is this why so many people, especially younger ones, don't bother to get involved in their communities or bother to vote?

I mean, when everything is done "in secret," when you find out that your "leaders" are more worried about themselves and their power or whatever is that motivates them, what sort of person would want to emulate THAT?

Sadly, the stereotype of the self-absorbed politician may be all too real, as this article discusses.

What an embarrassment you are Ms. Beebe.

Our city deserves better than Bebee. As more people come to know about the lies of the people who pretend to represent our best interest, the more they'll understand how to vote in the next election. These lies will not be tolerated.

And they are STILL lying.

The group organized to work against the SLH group this fall has a website and FAQ page that misleads, as usual.

http://www.lakewoodvotersforprogress.com/faq

Frequently Asked Questions
1. How does Lakewood Hospital's transformation benefit me?
2. Will voting against the referendum save Lakewood Hospital?
3. Why did Lakewood Hospital close?
4. Are there other groups interested in running Lakewood Hospital?
1. The redevelopment of the former Lakewood Hospital will benefit everyone in our community.
- It keeps dozens of medical services in the heart of Lakewood for decades to come.

- It guarantees emergency care 24/7 365 days a year.

- It will also house primary care physicians offering MORE services than the former Lakewood Hospital.

- It provides redevelopment of the hospital site at no cost to taxpayers by reserving $7 million of maintenance and redevelopment of the building and 5.6 acre site.

- It creates a new Lakewood-dedicated health foundation with $32.4 million endowment to be led by Lakewood residents.
2. No, voting against the referendum will not save Lakewood Hospital.
Lakewood hospital closed on Feb. 6, 2016. Voting against the referendum will force the City of Lakewood to keep spending money on costly litigation. Voting against may also delay construction of the new family health center and postpone jobs at the new facility. The city will also lose tax revenue while the health center is delayed.
3. After years of steadily declining patient numbers, by 2015 the hospital was losing nearly $1 million per month.
If Council had not acted by passing the agreement with Cleveland Clinic, Lakewood Hospital would have closed in two to three years, with few if any options for the future. Inaction would have left Lakewood with nothing: no medical services, no money for community health, and a costly, empty building in our downtown.
4. Only the Cleveland Clinic proposed a detailed business contract.
For more than a year, the Lakewood Hospital Association explored this option and sought proposals from hospital systems within the greater Cleveland area and across the country. Only one provider, the Cleveland Clinic, submitted a comprehensive redevelopment proposal. The MetroHealth System submitted a preliminary proposal, which it subsequently withdrew. On June 19, 2015, the MetroHealth System reiterated that it has no interest in operating or redeveloping Lakewood Hospital
Two glaring lies - first, the Metro proposal characterized is as "preliminary," which it clearly was not.

Secondly, the "costly, empty building in our downtown." We all recall Jen Pae blathering on and on about getting stuck with the "bricks and mortar." Well, what do you call that empty building at Belle and Detroit that will SIT EMPTY FOR AT LEAST THE NEXT 2 1/2 YEARS??

A few corrections:

The only Ronald Petrie listed to vote in Lakewood lives on Northland. The Ronald Petrie on this report is listed as living at 1345 Brockley. Interestingly, there is a Ronald Petrie that owns this property, but there is nobody registered to vote at the Brockley address. I believe this is the Ronald Petrie from Northland's rental property. Don't you have to give your real address?

Stephen Bennett listed his address on this report as 15514 Detroit. This is the offices of Laskey & Costello. Mr. Bennett actually lives on Clifton down by Thoreau. Isn't this falsifying the address?

The Tom Bullock for Lakewood Committee is listed at 1256 Cook. It's a double. There is a Russell Lynch and a Robin Rechenbach listed as living here. Does anyone know if these people are actually the Tom Bullock Committee or is their address just being used?

Are they teaching these accounting practices in the Lakewood City Schools?

Until recently, Tom Bullock lived in a double on Cook.

This is true. I think he lived closer to the tracks, however. Maybe 13-something?

I can't say for sure.

I don't track where they live, but I had to drop something off there for him once.

Beebe is on "Host Committee" of the new PAC of lies--Lakewood Voters For Progress. The goal of this PAC is clearly stated online: "to win"
The PAC has already set forth lies "to win". What a bad example for children as schools are set to reopen.

Those on Facebook might want to check out Jenn Pae's new "profile picture."
"Vote for the Ordinance on Nov. 8."
At least it makes our work easier getting out the message to vote against it.
